![]() ![]() Unfortunately for Olive, the only thing worse than constant bad luck is having to spend the wedding day with the best man (and her nemesis), Ethan Thomas. By contrast, her sister Ami is an eternal champion…she even managed to finance her entire wedding by winning a slew of contests. Olive Torres is used to being the unlucky twin: from inexplicable mishaps to a recent layoff, her life seems to be almost comically jinxed. ![]() Our next pick is a Christina Lauren book because let’s face it: you can’t go wrong with Christina Lauren.įor two sworn enemies, anything can happen during the Hawaiian trip of a lifetime-maybe even love-in this romantic comedy from the New York Times bestselling authors of Roomies. Soon Alex finds himself hurtling into a secret romance with a surprisingly unstuffy Henry that could derail the campaign and upend two nations and begs the question: Can love save the world after all? Where do we find the courage, and the power, to be the people we are meant to be? And how can we learn to let our true colors shine through? Casey McQuiston’s Red, White & Royal Blue proves: true love isn’t always diplomatic. What at first begins as a fake, Instragramable friendship grows deeper, and more dangerous, than either Alex or Henry could have imagined. Heads of family, state, and other handlers devise a plan for damage control: staging a truce between the two rivals. And when the tabloids get hold of a photo involving an Alex-Henry altercation, U.S./British relations take a turn for the worse. There’s only one problem: Alex has a beef with the actual prince, Henry, across the pond. Handsome, charismatic, genius―his image is pure millennial-marketing gold for the White House. When his mother became President, Alex Claremont-Diaz was promptly cast as the American equivalent of a young royal. What happens when America’s First Son falls in love with the Prince of Wales? Red, White & Royal Blue is a delight that I wish I could experience for the first time again. I will never stop recommending this book. Now up for the same promotion, their battle of wills has come to a head and Lucy refuses to back down when their latest game could cost her her dream job…But the tension between Lucy and Joshua has also reached its boiling point, and Lucy is discovering that maybe she doesn’t hate Joshua. Lucy Hutton and Joshua Templeman hate each other. Nemesis (n.) 1) An opponent or rival whom a person cannot best or overcome. And it’s soon to be adapted on the big screen, so pick it up before the movie comes out! If I had to describe this book, I would say it is the very line that people say separates love and hate. We’re starting off strong with The Hating Game by Sally Thorne. ![]()
